The most popular colour for bridesmaid dresses in 2022

We love the colour green at Maids to Measure (it's one of our favourites), and this year we are excited to say that green bridesmaid dresses are expected to be big.

From emerald green to silvery sage and duck egg blue, there is a shade of green for almost every type of wedding – and we've got them all. Read on for our Maids to Measure edit of green dresses.

Dark green bridesmaid dresses

Deep, saturated colours – think burgundy and emerald – are hugely popular right now.

The jewelled tones of emerald green bridesmaid dresses are tipped to be hot in 2022, and it's no wonder, because this beautiful shade is sumptuously rich. If an emerald dress feels too glitzy but you still want a dark shade, then we recommend the slightly more subtle, forest green.

Caroline forest green dress, £175

The 'Caroline' in forest green is flattering with flutter sleeves, a ruched waist, and a soft V-neck to the front and back. It's made from soft chiffon and has a double-lined skirt that skims over the hips with a light touch.

If you like the style but want a different colour, we also stock this dress in cloud blue, midnight blue, misty green, and blossom pink.

Sage bridesmaid dresses

A combination of silver and green, sage has a neutral undertone that pairs easily with most other colours. It’s a harmonious shade that reflects the same colouring as dried sage leaves with a beautiful but subtle silver tint.

Daphne sage green dress, £150

The 'Daphne' is part of our Ego edit, a collection of satin bridesmaid dresses, that combines sheen with just the right amount of stretch.

Fitted in all the right places, this sage green bridesmaid dress creates a silhouette that flatters the waist. Mid-length sleeves and buttons down to the knee give it an elegant feel, which perfectly matches its colour.

Misty green bridesmaid dresses

When it comes to spring weddings (and summer), misty green is the ideal choice for your bridesmaid dresses. This fresh, natural colour is all about tranquillity and new beginnings, which chimes perfectly with the change of seasons.

Green is the obvious place to start if you're planning to get married outside. Read more in our blog on picking bridesmaid dresses to suit an outdoor wedding.

Lucinda dress in misty green, £150

Part of our new bridesmaid collection, the 'Lucinda' dress has a soft cowl neckline, but it's the back of this dress that really wows. The plunging swathes of material make a dramatic statement and the added panel of fabric means you can still wear a bra with it.

With its circular skirt in flowing chiffon, this dress is designed to flatter all body shapes and sizes. It's also available in blossom pink, cloud blue, and cream soda.

Duck egg blue bridesmaid dresses

Duck egg blue is a romantic colour that combines hues of green with a bluish grey. Its calm and neutral tone means it works well with other colours, but it particularly suits white and cream wedding dresses.

This shade of green is a versatile colour that looks just as good in the summer as it does in winter, teaming beautifully with all kinds of wedding flowers.

Eadie duck egg blue dress, £150

This dress is part of the Ego edit – a new collection from Maids to Measure. To the front is a high neckline while the back wows with a plunging cowl that finishes the dress with a dramatic flourish. It's made from soft chiffon with cap sleeves, and being floor-length it exudes graceful elegance.

The 'Eadie' is a twist on a classic dress, and we're excited to say that more colours will be added to the collection soon.

Light green bridesmaid dresses

Light green is the final shade in our rundown of green bridesmaid dresses, and this is a particular favourite of ours because of its crisp, bright feel. Just like other green hues, light green perfectly reflects its surroundings, making it an ideal choice for outdoor weddings in the bright sunshine or even a destination wedding.

Grace light green dress, £175

One of our most popular designs, the 'Grace' dress in light green is easy to wear and suits most body shapes. This maxi dress has a soft, fluid skirt and because it's made from pure chiffon it feels luxuriously lightweight. It has a V-neckline with a frill to the front and back, and a flattering empire waist line that finishes with a tie at the back.

The 'Grace' is also available in cloud blue, blossom pink, and cream soda.
